Greetings All!
With the help of CLabs and a few lovely Tellurians, Under the Spindle now hosts an IRC Chatroom from the station located in the shop. I'm hoping to eventually have it operating all the hours that Spindle is open, but we're going to start small and try it first with just the next two days. For you folks from Tellus the information you need is below. Come in and say hello!
Oh and anyone who doesn't know how to use IRC, feel free to ask here or send me a message, and I'll see if I can figure it out with you.
Server: Dalnet CHANGE THAT we've moved to Efnet
Channel: #UnderTheSpindle

I added Chatzilla in about two seconds. Two minutes to find the help menu and get online. Niceties like italics can wait!
ETA: It was all fun and games until my connection died. Feh.

So apparently Dalnet doesn't play very nicely with the I2M connections, so the room has been moved to Efnet, same room name though. Hope this doesn't confuse anyone!

Perhaps! I can use instant messaging services, so maybe embedded chats will work. (My employer is odd.)

I've been working with Clabs and Freya, and we've made some adjustments in the chat. The new chatroom can be found on the Internet at #UnderTheSpindle on irc.newnet.net. This IRC server has nickname and channel services, so names and channels can be protected. We've just gotten word of a live chat with some Gurge Riders and a member of the media at Under the Spindle happening tonight -- read about it here: http://portoutreach.com/voices/2009/01/ ... ider-chat/Selvari
